Introduction on DeFi

DeFi (Decentralized Finance) is a blockchain-based form of finance that takes the principles of traditional finance (interest-bearing accounts, currency exchanges, market making, synthetic/derivative financial instruments, etc.) and utilizes them in cryptocurrency through smart contracts. DeFi has experienced an exciting boom and transitioned from being an interesting experiment on the Ethereum blockchain to a solid, proven financial model that is continuing to garner interest among all types of people, from retail investors and family offices to hedge funds and whales. The DeFi landscape of today is at the base of a new peak, gaining solid traction and growing into a sector that will ultimately become the foundation of a decentralized economy that provides balanced, secure opportunities for the masses, banked and unbanked, regardless of nationality.

Among countless real-world use cases and possibilities that DeFi presents to it’s participants, one fundamental opportunity seems to stand out the most – yield farming. DeFi presents an opportunity for every person on Earth to have access to safe, stable incomes to protect and improve the lives of themselves and their families.
